1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NeuroTask (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and NeuroTask ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

NeuroTask is a productivity application designed for neurodivergent individuals. The Service provides task management, time-blocking, focus tools, idea capture, wellness tracking, and optional Google Calendar integration. The Service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account through our OAuth authentication system. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated systems or bots to access the Service without permission

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service, including quests, missions, ideas, journal entries, and other user-generated content ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not use your User Content for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

6. Third-Party Integrations

The Service offers optional integration with third-party services, including Google Calendar. By connecting these services, you authorize NeuroTask to access and interact with your data on those platforms in accordance with the permissions you grant. You may disconnect third-party integrations at any time through the Settings page. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by NeuroTask and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent. The NeuroTask name, logo, and related marks are trademarks of NeuroTask.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. NEUROTASK IS A PRODUCTIVITY TOOL AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, OR THERAPEUTIC ADVICE. IF YOU HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT ADHD OR ANY OTHER HEALTH CONDITION, PLEASE CONSULT A QUALIFIED HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEUROTASK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.
